Mythical Freyr's
Sword

STORY:

The Nordic mythology speaks about Freyr whose attributes are a powerful magic sword able to fight alone,the wild boar Gullinbursti which shines in the darkest darkness and Skidbladni,ship that can be folded into a pouch (these Freyr's attributes/symbols show the decorations on the sword and scabbard). Freyr will lose his sword because of love and that will result in his death during Ragnarök.
Freyr did not need the sword during his life because he had a tremendous power and in fights against giants and trolls he was use mighty antler instead of a sword.
The geometry of the blade for this sword is flat V grind. From the perspective of mythology are shape directed against large unarmored enemies (giants, trolls).

SYMBOLISM:

The shape of this sword is inspired by the historical hunting fang. The decorations of this piece are inspired by two types of traditional Viking age styles and Nordic runes. (Oseberg - year 800-875 ..... Borre - year 850-950.)
On the handle and scabbard are depicted runes INGWAZ, which are to be the old mark of god Freyr. Under the pommel of sword are depicted runes which speak INGWAZ.On the scabbard are depicted runes who speak FREYR.

BLADE:

Multibar damascus blade composed of 9 Rods. Hardness of the blade 53-54 hrc.
